A Feast for Crows
(A Song of Ice and Fire #4)
by George R. R. Martin
2005 | Fantasy, High Fantasy, TV Series, Epic Fantasy
★★★★★★★★★★ 10 / 10

It's true that A Feast for Crows misses a tiny bit it's other half, The Dance with Dragons, which haven't yet been published.. But there's nothing wrong with this first part, Martin is The Master. The story is great, the characters get even more interesting. My only critique is that the wait between the books of Song of Ice and Fire is waaaay too long.

The King's Buccaneer (Krondor's Sons #2) by Raymond E. Feist
The King's Buccaneer
(Krondor's Sons #2)
by Raymond E. Feist
1992 | Fantasy, Epic Fantasy, High Fantasy
★★★★☆☆☆☆☆☆ 4 / 10

This was maybe the 10th book from Feist that I've read. Generally I like his stories but this one was a real disappointment. The story itself has a lot of potential, starts nicely but slows down and becomes repetitive. I didn't care about the cardboard characters and practically forced myself to finish the book hoping that it would surprise me and get better. It didn't.

Confessor (The Sword of Truth #11) by Terry Goodkind
Confessor
(The Sword of Truth #11)
by Terry Goodkind
2007 | Fantasy, Epic Fantasy, TV Series, High Fantasy
★★★★☆☆☆☆☆☆ 4 / 10

Confessor is a bad fantasy book. When I started to read this book, I knew that I wouldn't like it very much, but I read it anyway, because I wanted to see how Terry Goodkind ends his series. The best thing about this book is that it's finally the last book of The Sword of Truth saga. Otherwise this book is quite boring. I can't recommend this book to anybody. In my opinion this book is a waste of time. If you like Goodkind's earlier books, you'll probably hate this book.

The Lees of Laughter's End is the third book of the Tales of Bauchelain and Korbal Broach series. I just finished reading The Lees of Laughter's End. I liked it very much. This novella is good, well written and interesting. If you're interested in Steven Erikson's epic fantasy books, you should read this novella.

Blood and Gold (The Vampire Chronicles #8) by Anne Rice
Blood and Gold
(The Vampire Chronicles #8)
by Anne Rice
2001 | Horror, Vampires
★★☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ 2 / 10

Blood and Gold is an extremely bad horror and dark fantasy book. The deterioration of The Vampire Chronicles is a good example of what happens when a writer tries to please fans by writing more books when all the exciting and new ideas have run out. I only read this book, because I wanted to read the whole series. Otherwise I wouldn't have read it. If you liked Interview with the Vampire, The Vampire Lestat and The Queen of the Damned, you should avoid this book. You'll only be disappointed, if you try to read it.

Blood Canticle
(The Vampire Chronicles #10)
by Anne Rice
2003 | Horror, Vampires
★★☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ 2 / 10

Blood Canticle is the last vampire book, which is a good thing, because almost all the books since The Queen of the Damned have been more or less bad and disappointing books. Blood Canticle is a bad book and I can't recommend it to anybody. You shouldn't read this book, so try to avoid it.

Blackwood Farm (The Vampire Chronicles #9) by Anne Rice
Blackwood Farm
(The Vampire Chronicles #9)
by Anne Rice
2002 | Horror, Vampires
★★★★☆☆☆☆☆☆ 4 / 10

Blackwood Farm is a bit better horror and dark fantasy book than some of the other vampire books Anne Rice has written after The Queen of the Damned. If you're expecting this book to be as interesting and excellent as the first vampire books, you'll be disappointed. This book is a good try, but it's just not good enough.

The Tale of the Body Thief (The Vampire Chronicles #4) by Anne Rice
The Tale of the Body Thief
(The Vampire Chronicles #4)
by Anne Rice
1992 | Horror, Vampires
★★★★★★☆☆☆☆ 6 / 10

It's a shame that the quality of The Vampire Chronicles began to drop with this book. This book isn't as good as Interview with the Vampire, The Vampire Lestat or The Queen of the Damned. You may enjoy reading this book, but you should know that it isn't very good. It's readable and well written, but not excellent. If you're expecting it to be as good as the previous books, you'll probably be a bit disappointed.

Memnoch the Devil (The Vampire Chronicles #5) by Anne Rice
Memnoch the Devil
(The Vampire Chronicles #5)
by Anne Rice
1995 | Horror, Vampires
★★☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ 2 / 10

I didn't like this book at all. This book was a big disappointment to me, because I expected it to be as good as the first books. In my opinion Anne Rice should never have written this book, because it contains too much religious and philosophical nonsense. In my opinion this book is as bad as Terry Goodkind's Naked Empire. If you've enjoyed reading the first three books (and even the fourth book), this fifth book may be a big disappointment. You should avoid this book, because it's quite bad.

★★★★★★★★★★ 10 / 10

Yvgenie is the third and last book of The Russian Stories trilogy. I liked Yvgenie very much. It's an interesting ending to a good fantasy trilogy. Yvgenie is a good and fascinating fantasy book. I can highly recommend this book to all fantasy readers, who like good stories and fairy tales.

Chernevog
(The Russian Stories #2)
by C. J. Cherryh
1990 | Fantasy, Historical Fantasy
★★★★★★★★★★ 10 / 10

Chernevog is the second book of The Russian Stories trilogy. Chernevog is a unique fantasy book, because there aren't many fantasy books, which are based on Russian folklore. If you want to read something different, I can recommend this book to you. It's a good book and it's worth reading.

The Pastel City
(The Tales of Viriconium #1)
by M. John Harrison
1971 | Fantasy, Science Fiction
★★★★★★☆☆☆☆ 6 / 10

The Pastel City is an interesting, entertaining and readable science fiction book. I liked it, but it was perhaps a bit too simple. Although this book is a classic science fiction book, it's not as good as some similar books, but it's still worth reading.

The Anvil of Ice
(The Winter of the World #1)
by Michael Scott Rohan

★★★★★★★★☆☆ 8 / 10

The Anvil of Ice is the first book of Winter of the World series. This book was recommended to me a couple of years ago, so I bought the whole series. It was a good purchase. I liked The Anvil of Ice. This book isn't quite as good as some of the fantasy books I've read, but it's interesting and entertaining.

Eldest (The Inheritance Cycle #2) by Christopher Paolini
Eldest
(The Inheritance Cycle #2)
by Christopher Paolini
2005 | Fantasy, Epic Fantasy, Young Adult, High Fantasy, Dragons
★★★★☆☆☆☆☆☆ 4 / 10

Eldest is the second book of the Inheritance series. Eldest isn't a special book. It's a bit predictable and flat, but I've read plenty of worse fantasy books, so I decided to give this book two stars. If you're expecting an intelligent and interesting story, you'll be disappointed, because you won't find depth in this book. But if you're looking for light and average fantasy, this book is a good choice.

Nightchild
(Chronicles of The Raven #3)
by James Barclay
2001 | Fantasy, Epic Fantasy, High Fantasy
★★★★★★☆☆☆☆ 6 / 10

Nightchild is the third book of the Chronicles of The Raven trilogy. Nightchild is the best book of this trilogy. It's much better than the two previous books. Nightchild isn't perfect and James Barclay isn't Robin Hobb or George R.R. Martin, but Nightchild is good fantasy.
