When DCI Freya Bloom and DI Ben Savage are called to an abandoned farmhouse in Billinghay, Lincolnshire, they expect the worst. The caller to emergency services had reported finding a man’s body. Yet, except for an old tent and a few personal possessions, the old house is empty.
