I used to work for the Syndicate. The Black Hand. The Council. Whatever name they’re using this decade to pretend they’re not the monsters they actually are. I was their secret weapon—the one who cleaned up their messes and made the problems disappear.
Until they made me the problem.
Now I’m on the run with a panther shifter who’d rather eat me than trust me, and a human who claims she’s a witch (she’s not wrong, and honestly, that’s the least weird thing about her). It’s not exactly a dream team, but we’ve got a shared enemy and some impressive bad decisions behind us. That’s enough.

The Syndicate want to erase me. I want to watch them burn.
