When Wanderlust overcomes young Trapspringer Fargo, his insatiable drive for adventure propels him along a route that only a kender could map. With curiosity as his only guide, he sets out across Ansalon and unknowingly crosses paths with a pair of corrupt gully dwarves and a misplaced evil fiend (Oops!). The result is not only the inevitable madness and mayhem, but also a chance for the diminutive Trapspringer to save all of Krynn from a catastrophie of Takhisian proportions.
The series
Dragonlance is a rich fantasy universe initially crafted by Laura and Tracy Hickman, then expanded by Tracy Hickman and Margaret Weis. The concept was born during a car ride to a job application at TSR, Inc., where Tracy Hickman later teamed up with Weis. Together, they developed a series of Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) adventures, which inspired a wide array of novels, game modules, and related products.

In 1984, TSR released the first novel, Dragons of Autumn Twilight, marking the start of the Chronicles trilogy and establishing the Dragonlance series. This core trilogy, written by Hickman and Weis, introduced the world of Krynn, characterized by its elaborate history spanning five ages. Most stories are set during the fourth age, The Age of Despair, while the fifth age, The Age of Mortals, began in February 2009.
Over 190 novels have been set in Dragonlance, supported by extensive D&D campaign material. After TSR was acquired by Wizards of the Coast LLC in 1997, the rights to Dragonlance were licensed to Sovereign Press, Inc. in 2001, although this agreement ended in 2007.
Dragonlance, alongside D&D’s Forgotten Realms, remains one of the most beloved shared fantasy worlds, known for its detailed geography, complex timeline, and iconic characters like the Heroes of the Lance.
