The Shadowing

There is a world that exists alongside our own – one that most people will only ever encounter for a moment, and dismiss as myth or legend. But teenager Callum Scott knows different. He sees ghosts and demons wherever he goes. He is a chime child, born at a time that allows him unique abilities to see these creatures, and that gives him powers of healing, powers of protection. It is, after all, the chime children\'s job to defend the Boundary between our mortal world and that of the supernatural – the Netherworld. But now all the others are dead. Callum is the only chime child left. And the time of the Shadowing is upon us...

Once every century, during a cycle of thirteen moons, the Boundary weakens and countless ghouls and demons cross into the mortal world: the Shadowing. Only Callum can stop the alliance between mortal magicians and the Demon Lord from making the Shadowing permanent. And the only real help he has is from a Born Dead ghost boy, Jacob, and his demonic dog, Doom.

But there is nowhere to hide once the gateway of evil is open...
