In a world where even hope is hierarchical, A Dream of Wings & Flame follows a creature no one expects to matter—a kobold named Samazzar, born into obscurity but gripped by the dangerous dream of becoming something more. Not just more powerful. Something mythic. Something draconic.
This LitRPG progression fantasy uncoils in a world shaped by magic, ambition, and the brutal reality of power dynamics. Samazzar doesn’t start with great gifts or grand destinies—only with an unshakable will to defy the ceiling his kind is expected to crawl beneath. Through ancient tomes, arcane rituals, and the slow mastery of self, he claws his way up a system that exists to keep beings like him small, both in stature and spirit.
What sets this series apart isn’t just the underdog narrative or the immersive stat-based worldbuilding—though both are done with razor-edge precision. It’s the atmosphere of quiet desperation, the sharp tension between fate and will, and the slow burn of transformation—not only of body, but of purpose. As Samazzar evolves, so too does the reader’s understanding of what power really costs.
Perfect for fans of dark fantasy and RPG-inspired storytelling, this series captures the feeling of leveling up in a world that constantly tries to drag you back down. It’s brutal, often introspective, and threaded with a kind of quiet rage—against the world, against limits, and even against the self.
Each book digs deeper into an expansive magical society where dragons are more than monsters—they’re aspirations. And Samazzar? He’s the spark in the tinder, the question mark in a world that claims to know all the answers.
If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to fight for the right to dream, even when the world insists you don’t deserve to, this is the journey. And it burns.
