A good start but a very weak ending.

A contentious retelling of the early days of Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson, interesting and well written but not entirely convincing.

Interesting to read about the events that lead up to the [author_link_718] film "Aliens", released in 1986.

Ghost hunting using modern Police techniques.

Strictly speaking not all the stories are Ghost Stories and are closer to being Gothic Tales.

Dated Gothic fiction that can can be difficult for the contemporary reader to follow.

Reminiscent of Guy de Maupassant

It started well but soon the story became reliant on coincidences and happy chance, many of the characters are one dimensional and some of the plot developments are just ridiculous.

Overall a very mediocre book.

A fairly dark story with a twist at the end.

Pacifist science fiction for a change.

An esoteric collection of weird fiction that deserves to be better known than it is.

Not an easy book to comprehend.
