Snowed in with the Alien Baker

He's been eating my gingerbread for months. Turns out he's been starving for something else entirely.

Noella: The gorgeous guy in the too-expensive coat has ordered the same thing every visit since summer. One gingerbread man. Black coffee. A tip that makes me want to cry. He watches me work like it's the best show in town, and after a year of grief, unpaid invoices, and a landlord who calls me "sweetheart," I'll take it.

Then December 22nd happens. A blizzard, a dead van, a catering order I can't fill alone, and suddenly I'm snowed into my own bakery with the mystery man I've been feeding all year.

Except… he's not from around here. Like, at all.

Ginzar: I've spent months telling myself I'm just a courier who likes her gingerbread. It was easier than admitting I've been rerouting half a galaxy to stand in her line. Now a storm has trapped us together with three days until her landlord takes the only home she has left, and every rule I have about revealing myself to humans is suddenly negotiable.

I can save her bakery. I can keep her warm. What I can't do is walk back onto my ship on Christmas morning and pretend I don't belong to her. Oh, and her oven is named Bertha. Bertha and I have an understanding.
