Dupin’s honeymoon turns into an off the books murder investigation.
Commissaire Georges Dupin and his wife, Claire, are on their honeymoon in the Loire. From winery to winery, from one culinary delight to the next, the journey is to go. Typically, Dupin balked at any kind of idleness, but not this trip. And he and his new bride agreed to leave their work behind in Brittany. For Dupin, that means staying out of any and all criminal cases.
But their careful plan unravels when a well-known winemaker is murdered, who happens to be the ex-husband of one of Claire’s friends. It’s not Dupin’s case. He doesn’t have jurisdiction. He doesn't know the area. Truthfully, he’d rather continue their trip. But Claire insists their honeymoon is the perfect disguise for an unofficial investigation, and wants to partner with Dupin to solve the case. And it soon becomes clear, Claire will do this―with or without Dupin.
