About the Book
Forgotten paintings. A tarnished reputation. A web of silence.
In Madrid, a world-renowned film director's career unravels overnight when rumours of gross misconduct surface. Doctor Genevieve Lenard is called in for her expertise in nonverbal communication and immediately faces an immense challenge. Every nonverbal cue of the accused director points to innocence, yet the growing trove of physical evidence is hard to refute. Especially when two long-lost paintings are discovered in the director's home.
The polished surface of the film industry shows more and more cracks with each new revelation. As Genevieve and the team follow the threads connecting a film set and a charity, they discover a dark side to this glamorous world that someone is willing to go to great lengths to keep hidden. At any cost.
With every clue pointing somewhere new, Genevieve must decide who's telling the truth before the wrong person pays the price. Who benefits from the director's ruin? And what won't they do to keep it that way?
