Quest Objective: To hide from the past, to seek redemption, and to solve the riddles plaguing the city.

In need of a fresh start, Zorina settles into a new life as an assistant shopkeeper. This supposedly simple existence quickly becomes complicated as unwanted attention continues to fall on her—and as young women start to mysteriously disappear. Keeping her past hidden in light of this new scrutiny proves increasingly difficult, and she dreads the moment when all of her secrets will be revealed.

Former huntsman Herrick works as a city guard to keep the peace and to escape from his sordid past. He hopes that patrolling the city and investigating its strange mysteries—from the ridiculous to the haunting—will help him atone for his past mistakes.

But secrets can only stay hidden for so long—especially when evil lurks in the shadows, seeking to destroy the tenuous peace they’ve found. Armed with a sword, a magically unlimited pouch, and a pottery-smashing red panda, Herrick and Zorina must learn to work together to stave off the encroaching darkness.

As the truth reveals puzzles from the past, Herrick and Zorina begin to trust and rely on each other—and maybe even start to heal their damaged hearts.

A Fable of Riddles and Redemption, inspired by the fairytales The Phantom of the Opera and The Pied Piper, is a closed-door standalone romantasy set within the Dungeons and Legends series. Perfect for readers who love the wonder of fairytales blended with the adventure of classic RPGs, this story features dual redemption arcs, slow burn romance, enemies-to-lovers, mysterious riddles, and a mirror labyrinth. Your adventure starts here—press start to play.

Sara Farnsworth

Sara lives her own little happily ever after with her husband, John, and their five children. She grew up in the foothills of the Cascades and now lives in a mountainous desert valley. She spends most of her days homeschooling and parenting her kids. When she isn’t writing, homeschooling, or researching one of those two things, she can typically be found playing video games, browsing social media, or reading a ridiculous quantity of books. Oh, and battling the villainous laundry, but that’s not as fun.

All throughout college, she planned to write books while her kids were at school – and now she homeschools! But that love of writing and creating stories never left. Over time, she turned it into a reality. Sara has a BA in English and enjoys a variety of activities such as singing, cooking, baking, playing with Photoshop, sewing, knitting, or using hot glue like duct tape.
