A dark domestic thriller about secrets, sex, and suburban scandal.

When Kim Karlsen’s husband drowns in their backyard pool during a summer get-together, everyone calls it a tragic accident. But when the police start asking questions—and secrets surface from behind closed doors—Kim realizes her marriage and her circle of friends were built on lies.

The deeper she digs, the darker it gets. Her husband’s hidden photos. A neighbor’s confession. The unmistakable scent of betrayal and revenge. And when desire and danger intertwine, Kim must decide who to trust—before the next body floats to the surface.

A provocative, darkly emotional domestic thriller about marriage, female friendship, and moral decay.

Author

Marnie Vinge

I grew up in Moore, Oklahoma, where a massive tornado swept down the plains and destroyed my childhood home. I've been writing dark and twisty stories ever since. I love weaving tales where nothing is as it seems, and darkness lurks just below the surface. I have held various job titles over the years, ranging from a self-defense instructor to a funeral director’s apprentice, both of which inform my writing to this day. And, no, unfortunately I wasn’t named after the film by famed master of suspense, Alfred Hitchcock, but sometimes I tell people I was anyway. It’s just too good of a coincidence to pass up.
