Sworn to a Demigod

He was promised to me by the gods. He rejected me anyway. A dark Hercules retelling from the Romancing the Seas series readers can't put down.

He didn't want me.

The gods promised me to Hercules like a prize. Wrapped in gold. Bound by duty. The demigod forged in fire and rage was supposed to take one look at me and fall to his knees.

He looked at me like I was nothing.

My name is Ava. Daughter of Isis and Poseidon. I have never been refused by anyone, until the one man fate tied me to turned away.

So I swore I'd never want him either.

Then the Underworld swallowed us both.

One cell. One cracked stone bath and nowhere to look but at each other. Every breath he takes, I feel against my skin. Every time his eyes drop, I pretend not to notice. Every night in the dark, I tell myself I still hate him.

I'm lying.

Because the man who rejected me is starting to watch me like he's starving. The demigod who wouldn't touch me is the one whose hand I reach for in the dark. And when he finally breaks, when that control he's worshipped his whole life finally snaps...

Gods help us both.

Our mission was supposed to be simple. Retrieve ancient treasures. End the war between gods and mortals. Save the world.

No one told me I'd have to survive him first.
