The Studious Mage

Meet the prideful prince offering to be Lyra's mentor.

Prince Thomas didn’t always dream of becoming Grand Mage. In fact, his original goal was simpler: to cure his sister.

As a prodigy at the Magic University of Junira, he keeps to himself, pouring all his energy into his studies… and earning enemies along the way. But one unpleasant encounter over his summer break sets a kingdom-wide plot into motion, and suddenly his quiet life is anything but safe.

This prequel short story to Princess of Cloaks & Curses introduces the aloof Prince Thomas, and his first meeting with the commoner mage destined to bruise his ego and capture his heart.
