About the Book
A dead man in the snow.
A missing girl.
And a trail that leads somewhere it shouldn’t.
When a local man is found frozen in the Colorado backcountry, Sheriff Dalton Savage expects a routine investigation—until the evidence says otherwise. The victim had no reason to be out there, and the story his wife tells doesn’t match his final days.
Then a teenage girl disappears.
She was connected to the dead man. No one knew how.
As Savage works the case, the trail leads to a remote brothel on the edge of town—and to other girls who vanished without ever being linked. What looked like a single death is starting to take shape as something far worse.
With temperatures dropping and time running out, Savage and his team race to find the missing girl before she becomes the next body buried in the snow.
Because out here, the cold doesn’t just kill.
It hides what was done before.
