Everything that has gone sideways for Nikola Adamant, Prince and General of the Star Kingdom of Adamant, over the last few years can be traced back to Freebright. The interstellar megacorporation convinced his uncle to launch a bloody coup, reshaping his Kingdom and his own life.

But, thanks to the same uncle, the Adamants now know why Freebright was interested in their region and using data taken from the rogue megacorp, Nikola is hunting a wormhole that could transform everything for his Kingdom.

Across the border in the Richelieu Directorate, all too recently the Kingdom’s enemy, Contre-Amiral Adelaide Duquesne finds herself pulled into a covert project led by Freebright scientists. Like Nikola, they are hunting the wormhole—and the first nation to find it will leave the other in the dust.

But the math and the surveys don’t add up. Both Nikola and Adelaide find themselves pursuing mysteries—mysteries that will lead them into unknown space in pursuit of a wildcard that could change everything.
