About the Book
Fiona Kendall’s secrets are about to be revealed—and all of London stands in peril.
As the head of London's Shadow Council, Fiona has kept the peace between vampires, werewolves, and magicians through wit, determination, and the monster that lives in her shadow. But now ancient enemies have returned with a vengeance.
The Sovereign of the Black Equilibrium pursues her—a resurrected archmage from the ancient world, who sees Fiona as the key to his plans. Whether she's willing or not.
Malchariel hunts her—an immortal Devourer who has searched across centuries for the last princess of the destroyed realm of Reisarch, the bearer of a legacy of which Fiona herself is unaware.
Both want to use her. Both are willing to kill anyone who stands in their way.
With her closest allies—Julian the battle mage, Rob the werewolf, and Alice the ancient vampire—Fiona must make her final stand.
And this time, the price of victory might be everything Fiona has fought to protect.
