A Deal in Death

Jaclyn Rodriguez writes fantasy that lingers long after the last page is turned, drawing readers into worlds where magic is intimate, consequences are real, and the heart’s desires can be as dangerous as any spell. Born and raised in the vibrant landscapes of Tucson, Arizona, Jaclyn’s imagination was shaped by early days spent buried in books, fascinated by stories that combined romance, myth, and the kind of moral complexity that keeps readers questioning who they should root for.

Her debut novel, A Vow in Vengeance, introduces readers to a universe of high-stakes magic, tarot-inspired powers, and characters whose choices echo beyond the personal, touching every corner of the fantastical world she builds. While the story pulses with suspense and intricate romantic tension, it’s Jaclyn’s attention to emotional truth and nuanced character arcs that has drawn a quietly growing following in the romantasy community.

Writing has always been a constant in her life, a practice refined over a decade of crafting novels before her first publication. Beyond storytelling, she finds inspiration in archery, immersive media, and observing the subtle interactions that reveal the layers of human—and magical—nature. Her work reflects a commitment to representation, weaving diverse voices and experiences into her narratives in ways that feel authentic, not performative.

Though early in her publishing journey, Jaclyn Rodriguez has already begun to carve a distinctive space in fantasy literature, blending romance, magic, and richly developed worlds. Her books invite readers not just to escape, but to inhabit lives and emotions that resonate long after the story concludes.
