I don’t run from trouble anymore. Mostly because trouble keeps showing up at my door. I was running for years—running from Ryan, from old histories, from any attachment that might make me vulnerable. Then Loki showed up with green eyes that suck me in and ancient secrets I still don’t know the half of and suddenly running didn’t feel like a plan so much as a hobby I was tired of.

Loki has stolen more crowns than kings and told himself for centuries that attachment was a mistake. He chooses Amethyst anyhow, for reasons both inconvenient and irrevocable. When an ex returns and Division circles like vultures in suits, they must learn to share power without consuming each other.

Together they will face a world that wants to label, lock, and explain away everything that refuses tidy boxes—and that might mean violence, bargains with old gods, and a very small town discovering how loud it can be when it chooses a side.
