Stella

Like far too many people here in New York, I’ve just graduated from film school. Unlike most of them, I did this after getting a bachelor’s in Early Childhood education and while working to (mostly) afford my bills at a preschool. My next step?

Fulfilling at least one of my two biggest dreams by going to the Mylos Scholarship Center. I’ll admit it - I‘ve had a thing for those hot aliens for years. Ever since I was a hormonal teenager as a matter of fact. One minute, boys were disgusting. The next, I noticed how interesting the alien on the Bride Fleet’s Scholarship poster on the subway was. Forget actors and rock stars, I wanted my shot at finding I was the one true love of one of those alien warriors.

At long last, that was finally going to happen or I’d find it had all been a silly pipe dream. Either way, I’d get the means for my second dream - to get a degree in Marketing and Social Media and have a living allowance I could use to not only pay for the tuition and catch up on my bills, but quit my job at the preschool and produce a kid’s show for local access TV.

The ultimate goal? To get my show noticed by a larger production company and go national.

Being the head of Public Media Relations is a tough job. It has its perks though, and I definitely count getting to create an educational TV show promoting literacy and an introduction to Mylos culture and language while also focusing on friendship. All my work creating the program is in danger of being swallowed by a black hole, thanks to the latest antics of Humans First. Now I’ve got to convince both the human government representatives and the Mylos Council that despite the kidnapping (and safe return) of a Mylos child during the Friendship Day Picnic in Central Park, the show must go on.

In fact, Commander Gundar, Xeranos, our ambassador, and my team and I are absolutely certain that the unfortunate and potentially tragic event is precisely why Playtime Fleet needs to see the light of day. Millions of children and their parents will be able to experience life aboard a fictional ship within the Fleet in a fun and safe manner, in a format that makes us appear the friendly neighbors we truly are.

Thankfully, the stars themselves are watching and the universe reveals its plans for us. But will all our efforts fail, despite even this? Will all it truly take to find success be love?
