Few people have heard the legend of the wondrous wishing diamond, and even fewer have wasted their efforts searching for it. Life as a royal sure does have a nice ring to it, if you can live long enough to wish for a crown.

I LOVED this Retelling of Aladdin and all it wonderful characters and unexpected plot twists! This story was really fun and I really liked Kya as well as her amusing parrot Kipu. This story also had a lot of intriguing male characters as well and I was happy with how everything turned out but it kept me guessing for awhile about who to root for or trust. I look forward to reading many more fairy tale retellings by Abigail Manning in the future.
