Mermaid's Loss

Princess Adriella of the mer-kingdom Mrya is weeks away from becoming queen. But she’d do anything not to rule, because she doesn’t want to follow in her mother’s cruel footsteps. And if she refuses, her mother will have her killed.

She seeks help from the Sea Witch, who promises her a pair of legs and a chance at a good future on land. But there are a few conditions—Adriella must give up her right to the crown, she’ll need to forget who she truly is, and she’ll lose her voice. Adriella quickly agrees, figuring that’s exactly what she wants.

But Human Adriella doesn’t remember she wants to escape her past, and she wishes to know who she is. She, along with Edward, a kind human who saves her from drowning, travel to see a dangerous witch for answers. She finds herself falling in love with Edward, but he seems to be hiding a secret that ties him to the ocean. Should she trust him and allow herself to open up to him? Or should she guard her heart?
