The Silence Before

A Missing Woman. A Ruthless Heir. A Journalist Who Knows Too Much.

When journalist Fiona Stevens begins investigating the decades-old disappearance of Sarah Mercer, she expects pushback—but not from Savannah’s most powerful elite. As she digs deeper, Fiona discovers a tangled web of family betrayals, hidden inheritance, and a questionable legal agreement that could alter everything.

At the center of it all is Dolores Bates, a reclusive socialite with everything to lose, and Henry Caldwell, a family attorney who harbors secrets of his own. Fiona’s pursuit of the truth turns dangerous when blackmail, break-ins, and a deadly confrontation put her squarely between those who would rather history stay buried and those who want it unearthed.

With the help of her sister, attorney Claire Stevens, Fiona must navigate a city where silence is power and secrets are currency. But the past refuses to stay quiet, and the deeper she goes, the more she realizes—some truths were never meant to be uncovered.

For fans of psychological suspense, The Silence Before is a gripping novel of deception, corruption, and the cost of exposing long-forgotten secrets.

How far would you go to keep the past buried?
