Yasha Orlev has disappeared, and with him a flash drive. Only two men in the world know exactly what is on that flash drive, Orlev himself and the man called Nero, the director of the highly secretive ODIN, the organization that runs the Five Eyes. And they both know that the contents of that drive can cripple the USA and trigger World War III.

Peter Blakelock, a senior ODIN agent, traces Orlev to a small Mediterranean island and promptly disappears. When he next shows up it is facedown, washed up on the beach with a broken neck and a chest full of lead.

Alex Mason is dispatched with Aila Gallin, seconded from the Mossad, to find Yasha Orlev and recover the flash drive before it gets into the wrong hands.

In a mission that will take them half way around the world and to the brink of annihilation, Mason and Gallin will find more than they bargained for: The human race has not been so close to extermination since the Great Flood at the end of the last ice age. But as Gallin observes, that time it was the anger of the Elohim that almost destroyed Man. This time it will be Man’s own towering arrogance that delivers him to the gaping maw of Evil.
