The Lord of Shadow and the Queen of Flames

In a land where dragons and goblins wage war, a cursed maiden pursues the Dark Overlord she blames for her people's suffering... a man who just happens to be her betrothed.

After escaping a one-hundred-year slumber, Dragon Rider Talia Dracon, has a promise to keep that might shatter her world again. For her king has tasked her with the impossible: restore to his side the son he lost a century ago, the same lad Talia once thought she would marry … until he caused her curse.

Now Talia must brave the dark caverns of the mysterious Realm Below … a world of goblins and darkness once thought to be nothing more than myth. And on its throne sits the man she hoped to never see again: her former betrothed.

Melanthos, Dark Overlord of the Realm Below, has everything he once desired: security, control, respect. Legions of goblins bow at his whim, and monsters of immense power submit to his will.

But two things remain which even he cannot escape: the irksome dragons that hinder his plans, and the betrayed eyes of a maiden from his childhood which haunt his dreams each night.

When a Dragon Rider sweeps into his court, Melanthos hopes to finally rid himself of his dragon dilemma, never suspecting that he is inviting a ghost from his past back into his life.
