Missing Moon

Of all the demons and monsters Samantha Moon has faced over the years, only one is unstoppable: time.

Life feels as stable as it's likely to get for her, which should have been her first warning something was about to go wrong. An out-of-the-blue call from her sister brings bad news concerning her father's health.

Ever since she went off to college, Sam has been somewhat estranged from her parents—no surprise since they never seemed to much even notice their kids' existence, leaving the eldest sister to fill the role of mother and father. Whatever notion she had to reestablish contact died with her mortal life one night in Hillcrest Park. With each year passing and her not looking older, it became more and more difficult to go visit the parents. How could she explain to them she'd become an immortal?

Since the doctor gave her father less than a month to live, she decides to return to her childhood home and say her farewells.

She's not at all expecting a dangerous supernatural infestation of her old hometown... nor the revelation of exactly how deeply Elizabeth's attempt to destroy her family truly went. A new kind of fiend threatens an innocent town, and it turns out Mom might not be as neglectful as Sam believed.
