About the Book
The second series set in the Shifted World universe. When the Shift tore open the veil between our reality and the hidden one, the world as we knew it ended. Now, magic is real, but advanced technology has long been lost to history. In the green, mist-crowned land of Éire, war is brewing between the tribes of Co Cuanacht and the invading Aquilan legion.
Although Mave, huntress of Tuath Stag Gréine, has lived all her life under the looming threat of genocide, being conquered is more traumatic than she could have possibly imagined. But was there a lifetime she lived without war ... without death? Subjugated and trapped, Mave is forced to entrust her life - and the future of her people - to the whims of a mysterious, sylvan fae man, who claims she is the Lunar Kingdom's lost princess reborn.
Guardians of the Fae Gate is a trilogy inspired by Irish/British conflict and Celtic & Gaelic mythology, with an unbreakable heroine, a terrifyingly sexy villain, and an enigmatic satyr love interest whose motives will keep you guessing. It is a slow-burn, dark fantasy romance with a fairy tale twist, and pulls inspiration from Pan's Labyrinth, Throne of Glass, and Lord of the Rings. The steaminess increases as the series progresses.
