Delemhach, the pen name of Canadian author Emilie Nikota, writes stories that feel both magical and intimately lived. Growing up surrounded by books, music, and quiet forests, she discovered early on that the smallest details, a lingering scent, a favorite song, a forgotten corner of a room, can carry the kind of wonder that sparks entire worlds. These moments now ripple through her fantasy novels, shaping landscapes where magic is woven into daily life and characters grow through both adventure and the choices that challenge their hearts.
Her work, including the popular House Witch and The Ether Witch series, blends humor, romance, and elemental magic, creating immersive worlds that feel familiar yet unpredictable. Readers are drawn to her stories for the rich character relationships, subtle intrigue, and the way ordinary life intersects with the extraordinary. Even amidst magical duels and courtly conspiracies, there is a warmth, a domestic grounding that gives her fantasy an inviting, tangible quality.
Beyond her novels, Delemhach is known for connecting directly with her readers, sharing insights into her creative process, and expanding her universes through thoughtful world-building and playful exploration of magical systems. Her storytelling reflects a life attuned to small wonders, afternoons with her two cats, hikes through Canadian landscapes, and the quiet pleasures of cooking and music, all of which leave traces in her work, giving it a voice that is whimsical, heartfelt, and unmistakably her own.
