See How They Run
When Jon moves to a new house, he encounters a neighbour called Frankie who keeps twitching, and scrabbling about in the yard at night. Jon's cat, Gnasher, won't go near him, and instead keeps killing rats and leaving Jon to bury them. But the rats won't stay buried.
