The ghost of a recently deceased chocolatier believes he was murdered, and it's up to young witch Brynn Warren to use her magical gifts and old-fashioned sleuthing skills to find out how he really met his bitter end in this enchanting new Evenfall Witches B&B Mystery.

After spending months unable to use her powers, Brynn Warren is once again using her gift and working at her family's bed-and-breakfast. Her heart is full, and although one of her aunts wonders if it might be a little more full with a bit of romance in her life, Brynn is certain that finding love again is not in her future. In fact, she can't imagine anyone being more certain of anything...except for maybe, the recently deceased Mortimer Sweete. He's certain he's been murdered, and he wants Brynn's help to bring his killer to justice.

Mort is positive he knows who killed him: his business partner's wife, Cookie, who had been trying to get them to sell the candy shop for months. But Brynn doesn't share his conviction. After all, the coroner ruled his death natural causes, and Mort did have health problems in life. But with Cookie putting up a For Sale sign for the shop already, Brynn knows she can't just let it go.

Trying to solve a might-be murder while attempting to stop her aunt from meddling in her personal life seems like a recipe for disaster. If Brynn wants to bring Mort's spirit peace, she'll have to rely on all her skills--both magical and mundane--to uncover the truth.

Auralee Wallace

Auralee Wallace writes mysteries the way some people throw parties—full of unexpected guests, a touch of chaos, and just the right amount of sparkle. Best known for her quirky, clever cozy mystery series like Evening Falls, Otter Lake Mysteries, and The Psychic Life of Genie Powers, Wallace has carved out a delightfully oddball corner in the world of whodunits, where small-town charm meets big-time murder.

Before stepping into the world of amateur sleuths and supernatural hunches, she was a psychology instructor—an experience that subtly weaves itself into her characters, who often wrestle with their own inner contradictions, fears, and stubborn streaks. Her background brings a light psychological depth to even the most humorous of her tales, balancing whimsy with humanity.

Whether it’s a lakeside resort plagued by eccentric suspects or a woman discovering her psychic abilities in the middle of a crime scene, her stories are laced with witty banter, twisty plots, and heroines who feel more like best friends than fictional creations. Wallace doesn’t just create mysteries—she builds cozy little universes readers want to move into, if only for a few hundred pages.

Though not yet a household name, her growing fanbase speaks to something more enduring: a storyteller who understands that humor and murder go surprisingly well together when handled with a wink and a sharp pen.

Evenfall Witches B&B Mysteries

Nestled in the heart of Evenfall, a quaint town where magic simmers just below the surface, the Evenfall Witches B&B Mysteries series invites readers into a world where the ordinary collides with the extraordinary. At the center of it all is Brynn Warren, a young witch grappling with grief, family secrets, and the sometimes dangerous allure of her magical abilities. When she returns to her ancestral home to help her aunts run their bed-and-breakfast, she finds herself drawn into a world of mystery and suspense—where every guest has a story, and not all of them end happily.

The B&B, a cozy yet mysterious establishment, becomes more than just a home for wayward travelers. It’s a place where spells are woven in the kitchen, magical relics are hidden in dusty corners, and every new arrival seems to bring with it a new puzzle to solve. In In the Company of Witches, the series kicks off with a chilling murder that forces Brynn to face not only her powers but her own doubts about her place in the magical world. As the mysteries unfold, her bond with her aunts deepens, and her growth as both a witch and a woman becomes central to the narrative.

With When the Crow’s Away, the stakes grow higher as Brynn is thrust into another mystery involving a restless ghost and a hidden crime. The balance of personal growth, magical discovery, and investigative intrigue creates a delightful tension throughout the series, blending cozy mystery with a touch of the supernatural.

The Evenfall Witches B&B Mysteries isn’t just about solving crimes—it's about uncovering the threads that bind a family, a community, and a witch to the secrets of their past. The town of Evenfall becomes a character in its own right, with its mysterious history and magical undercurrents, adding a layer of enchantment that lingers long after the last page is turned. Through Brynn's journey, readers will find themselves drawn into a world where the air hums with possibility and danger, and where every mystery is a chance to uncover a deeper truth.

Perfect for fans of cozy mysteries with a dash of magic, Evenfall Witches B&B Mysteries offers an immersive experience with lovable characters, intricate plot twists, and a magical atmosphere that feels both inviting and thrilling.
