About the Book
Inspired by the legend of Chang’E the moon goddess, this enchanting fantasy weaves ancient Chinese mythology into a sweeping adventure of love and family, immortals and magic.
A young woman is forced to flee her cherished home on the moon, when she is hunted by the Celestial Emperor for her mother’s crime. Leaving her mother, the trapped goddess behind, Xingyin makes her way to the realm of immortals – where she disguises her identity, seizing an opportunity to train in the crown prince’s service.
Xingyin's desire to free her mother drives her to master her talents, but the passion which flames between her and her enemy’s son casts her dreams into peril. When forbidden magic threatens the kingdom, Xingyin embarks on a dangerous quest to free her mother – where her choice between love, family, and honor will forever alter the fate of the realm.
