But decades of hatred can't be overcome by issuing decrees, and rumors of a deadly Channeler-made substance are making things worse. When Lirra, a Channeler from a neighboring country, offers to help him discover the truth behind the rumors, Aodren begins to see a way forward for his people. But only if he can rewrite the mistakes of the past before it's too late. Return to the world of Ever the Hunted in this high-stakes spin-off novel full of intrigue, romance, betrayal, and revenge.
