This is a fantastic book which contains not only sketches and paintings but also comments of Alan Lee.
His thoughts and remarks describe the story of Lord of the Rings from a different perspective - that of transferring J.R.R. Tolkiens descriptions and his own imagination into pictures - and further, into settings for the films.
