About the Book
The first in a new trilogy that takes the superhero mythos and turns it on its ear.
Evie Tanaka is the put-upon personal assistant to San Francisco’s most beloved superheroine, Aveda Jupiter, her childhood best friend and now a super-powered celebrity. As a result, she’s really excellent at getting demon blood out of leather pants, handling her boss’s epic diva temper tantrums, and blending into the background. She’s not so great at making adult decisions, allowing herself to experience actual emotions, or reining in her tempestuous teenage sister, Bea.
But everything changes when Evie’s forced to pose as the glamorous Aveda Jupiter for one night. Because that’s when her most destructive secret comes out: she has powers too. Now, Evie must take control of her life and finally become a superheroine in her own right... or see her city fall to a full-on demonic invasion.
