Earth and Air: Tales of Elemental Creatures
Peter Dickinson has long been one of our favorite authors and we are very proud and happy to announce that we are publishing a new collection of stories by Dickinson — and we will go on from here to reprint many of his novels for both children and adults.
Earth and Air is a continuation of the idea Dickinson started exploring with his wife, Robin McKinley, in their shared collection, Water: Tales of Elemental Spirits. In these new stories, changelings, gryphons, and gods get in the way of us mortals who are struggling to find someone to fall in love with, something interesting to do, somewhere to run to. These stories are smart, funny, and provocative but even as they float the reader away on a cloud of myth, they remain firmly grounded.
