Our Own Worst Enemy

Anthony J. Cardieri

Our Own Worst Enemy is what I would call a hybrid between fiction and reality. It takes real life mysterious events and explains them away as part of a fictional story. Who was the real assassin of John F. Kennedy? What is the origin of the force behind the Bermuda Triangle? Why does the U.S. government go to such extraordinary lengths to deny the existence of UFO's? Maybe they are trying to trick us. Maybe they really want us to believe that UFO's visit us; keep us from finding out what they really are. Once the secret is out, a potential civil war looms on the horizon, but not a civil war that is fought across the lines on a map. This civil war is fought across the hands of time. The people of tomorrow have declared war on those of us today. Which side would win? We have the edge in weaponry but they have the edge in intelligence and strategy. How do we defend against an attack that can happen at any random moment throughout time? Come along for the ride as one small town scientist and two assistants try to figure a way to save the world from oblivion.
