Thomas sees and hears things no one else can. At first he thinks he's just a little weird, but then he discovers the Hidden World.

Everyone thinks 10-year-old Thomas Trew is weird — neighbors, other kids, even his own dad — but Thomas doesn't really mind. When a dwarf appears in Thomas’s house one day, his life changes forever — Thomas is summoned to the Hidden World, a magical place responsible for dreams, music, and imagination in the Obvious World (the human world). Extraordinary adventures await Thomas and his shape-shifter friends who are caught up in the unpredictable rivalries between the different races of the Hidden World. Soon Thomas discovers his true talents and emerges as a Rymer, someone who is able to take his place as a link between the worlds of imagination and the everyday. Suddenly his weirdness doesn’t seem so bad at all.
