THE FUNGUS IS AMONG US

Last night, while you slept, death was up partying. Spreading itself through the greater Los Angeles area, from the spires of downtown to the Hollywood Hills to the mean streets of east L.A.

It’s a parasitic fungus that gets you so high you’ll do whatever it wants. And what it wants is everyone.

Rory and Trixie are madly in love, but they’re just two little people out of millions, in a nightmare spiraling toward total annihilation. And what they do to stay together may hold the key to restoring what’s left of civilization.

With blockbuster scope and indie cool, this action-packed subversive thrill-ride is as cutting edge as modern horror gets. It’s Skipp and Goodfellow’s most ambitious novel yet: scathing, blackly satiric, and uncompromisingly intense.

"SPORE is infectious. Let it seduce you with its drug-fueled mayhem, powerful imagery, engagingly complicated people, and extremely fun plot. Enter a Los Angeles so well rendered that you can feel your lungs filling with smog, and check out this brand-new powder. Just one taste and you're hooked." – Amelia Beamer, author of The Loving Dead

"In SPORE, Skipp and Goodfellow have created a new masterwork of 21st century zombie fiction. This violent and visceral novel does things the genre has never seen before and manages to evoke both the horror of Night of the Living Dead and the down and dirty drug-dealing grittiness of AMC’s Breaking Bad." – John Joseph Adams, bestselling editor of The Living Dead series
