Chance or destiny had earned Sarevadin the company of Hirel as an unwilling travelling companion. But there was more than the hand of god in the pairing. Hirel was the son of Ziad-Ilarios, all powerful ruler of the Golden Empire. Sarevadin's father was that empire's sworn enemy: Mirain An-Sh'Endor, the offspring of the god of Light.
