Since the beginning of time, 1983, germlife on the Quarter has been divided: one side against the other. And one key question remains unanswered — is the Quarter flat? Or is it round?
Caught up in the struggle for truth is Bill Whooping and his best friend Wesley, two Bi-Peds who leave their humble origins behind and travel to In God We Trust City in an attempt to find a cure for Bill’s little brother, whose strange “coughing” noises have been getting worse.
But life on the Quarter is changing: buildings are disappearing, dreams are becoming intertwined with reality, and another Great War looms in the not-so-distant future. Fields of rockets are primed, calibrated to destroy the “other side” — and germkind as a whole.
Unless Bill and Wesley can do something to stop it.
