The Mace of Souls

Falca Breks lived by nefarious means – extorting money from downtrodden refugees in the decaying port city of Dracia. A street thief without principles, he sets out to steal jewels from beautiful, high-born Amala Damarr – and ends up losing his heart to her instead. But their love enflames the jealousy of the zealot Saphraz – a hulking Spiritlifter who imprisons Amala's essence in a crystal mace, as a sacrifice to his strange and hungry god. Falca then must set out on a dangerous quest across treacherous lands and pirate-proweled seas of the Six Kingdoms to free his adored one's captive soul... and to discover his own.
