Caspar travels south into Belbidia with his companions Hal and Brid – into the heart of the New Faith, the enemy of Brid's Goddess. Trailing Vaalakan spies, they seek the Druid's Egg which alone can keep the fortress of Torra Alta safe from enemy attack.
