A Columbus of Space was first serialized in All-Story in 1909.

Edmund Stonewall is a scientist who has discovered antigravity. He builds a spaceship using his technology, and takes a small party to Venus. They first visit the dark side of Venus, which is populated by primitive beings. Then they visit the light side, which is populated by blond telepaths.
