A Rose for Armageddon

Publications: Timescape / Pocket (Oct 1982), Allison & Busby (1984), Sphere (1984)

As a new dark age looms, a handful of aging intellectuals race to finish a project in the computer simulation of social relationships in the history of a small island. A mystery emerges whose solution may offer an opportunity for redemption not only to the unhappy characters but also to their unhappy era. Poignant and beautifully written; highly original in its recompilation of the timeslip romance.
