The Marvelous Misadventures of Sebastian

Lloyd Alexander

When his fiddle makes an embarrasing noise in front of the Royal Treasurer, young musician Sebastian loses his job, and takes to the road. There he rescues a blue-eyed cat; is himself rescued by the mysterious "Nicholas"; meets Princess Isabel of Hamelin-Loring, a young lady with a remarkable vocabulary; and comes into possesion of the most magical of violins.

But the group of merry travelers is traveling deeper and deeper into danger, for Princess Isabel is fleeing her impending marriage to the cruel Regent, who is determined to ensare them all in a deadly trap.

Can Sebastian fiddle his way to freedom? Perhaps the magical violin can help...
