About the Book
In the darkness of Port Arbalin, a group of worldly travelers huddles
together around an infamous tavern's dying fire, drinking and telling
tales both true and fantastic to one another and within their own minds. Full of adventure, magic, bravery, and blood, each story has a
different teller - and an ending few mortals could ever imagine...
There is the story of an all-too-clever thief whose lust for a great
jewel pits him against the dreaded Mogul - and brings about his own
horrific end; of a trio of warriors who ride deep into the blistering
sands of the Karoo desert to wreak vengeance on a monstrous wyrm; of
Durek, the legendary Châkka adventurer, cast into a swirling
torrent - and into the care of the immense Stone Giants; and of a royal
court in which the throne is the last seat of power any wish to
usurp...
