Murdered by Human Wolves
Fact: In 1917, Katherine Cross was murdered. Her gravestone in Konawa, Oklahoma, bears the epitaph "Murdered By Human Wolves."
This is her story.
Murdered by Human Wolves takes the few facts known about Cross's death, mixes them with author Steven E. Wedel's interview of a paranormal investigator who has studied Cross for years, and introduces Wedel's own characters, the McGrath clan of werewolves, to weave an intriguing, totally plausible tale of lycanthropy, hysteria, and murder on the prairie of the frontier. The story follows 18-year-old Katherine as she tries to rescue her friend Elise Stone from the McGraths, only to find herself seduced and impregnated as the town's relentless werewolf hunters close in on the clan.
