About the Book
Courts of Deception, Caverns of Death
Garth Kristinsson's parents died when a scam went wrong – and Garth has spent his life seeking vengeance, seeking his father's partner-in-crime, a woman called Silver. He's just found her.
Silver is the Atarae Darame of legendary Nuala; her husband, Sheel Atare, leads the planet's most powerful tribe. Together, they have brought an era of peace to a world of constant intrigue, lethal perils, and vast wealth. But Atare's enemy, clan Dielaan, has a new ruler: brilliant, arrogant, psychotic young Rex, who also seeks vengeance and world domination.
When off-worlder and free-trader Garth meets king and con artist Rex, two bitter, misbegotten quests explode in a conspiracy of murder, treason, and abduction. One aimed at destroying Nuala's peace, Nuala's prosperity... And Silver's life.
