She's honored to have won sixteen literary awards, including a Chanticleer Genre grand prize for both THE LOST POWER and SOLSTICE SHADOWS. CLEOPATRA'S VENDETTA took home a gold medal at the Readers’ Favorite Awards ceremony. Her latest work, THE PICASSO JOB, was named “Book of the Year” in the BestThrillers(dot)com contest and won best thriller at the Chanticleer International Book Awards.
First published with a small press in 2019, her smart action thrillers have hit the Kindle Top 100 bestseller lists in the United States, Canada, And Australia, as well as the Barnes & Noble Nook store. A former Silicon Valley IT executive, she’s appeared on multiple radio shows, including NPR, and has been featured in dozens of podcasts and interviews to discuss her trademark blend of thrills. Mystery & Suspense Magazine, Strand Magazine, Authority Magazine, Killer Nashville, and Thrive Global have published her articles, and she was mentioned in Newsweek.
She finds inspiration from her father, who served as a U.S. marine corporal in Okinawa, gathering military intelligence. Avanti graduated from Purdue University with honors and has spent time in a spectrum of professions, from lifeguard and raft guide to Silicon Valley IT executive. When not traveling the world or hiking in the Sierra mountains, she’s writing her next thriller in Northern California, helped by her family and distracted by her German shepherds.
