Robyn Wideman

Robyn Wideman is an author whose name has become synonymous with the thrilling, fast-paced worlds of LitRPG and GameLit fantasy. Hailing from the quiet town of Salmon Arm in British Columbia, Wideman’s love for storytelling began early, inspired by his fascination with video games, epic sagas, and the uncharted realms of the imagination. His writing reflects this blend of gaming culture and traditional fantasy, carving out a unique space where magic and technology collide, and characters must navigate complex systems, both magical and personal.

Starting his career with the Stoneblood Saga in 2015, Wideman quickly established himself as a master of intricate world-building and character-driven narratives. His stories are filled with expansive universes, where stakes are high, and the characters’ journeys are as much about self-discovery as they are about conquering foes. Known for titles such as Apocalypse Online, New Realm Online, and Darkthorn Academy, his books are beloved by readers who enjoy immersive worlds with rich lore, detailed game mechanics, and characters that evolve through their trials.

What sets Robyn apart in the crowded field of fantasy is his ability to blend the mechanics of a game with the weight of storytelling. His characters grow, not just through battles and quests, but by pushing their limits and learning from their failures, creating a deeper connection with readers who find themselves rooting for each protagonist.

In addition to his work in fantasy, Robyn’s interests range from sports—he’s a big fan of the Toronto Raptors and the BC Lions—to travel, with plans to live the “snowbird” lifestyle in the near future. His love for adventure and exploration is as apparent in his personal life as it is in his writing, fueling the vast worlds he creates for his readers.

Robyn Wideman’s books continue to captivate a growing audience, offering a mix of classic fantasy and contemporary gaming culture that has earned him a loyal fanbase. With over 50 books published, his series remain a mainstay for readers who crave thrilling adventures filled with heart, strategy, and imaginative worlds.
